2007–2008 Boys Hilltopper Hockey Recap

 

The 2007-08 Boys Hockey season was one to be remembered. The team consisted of eleven seniors, seven juniors, and four sophomores. As in the past, we had a difficult non-conference schedule and our conference was much improved and more balanced than past years. The team battled numerous injuries this season and although we never played one game with a full line-up, we were able to remain undefeated during the regular season. Our overall record was 21-1-0.

The team finished 1st in both the WCHC and the MVC conferences. We scored 121 goals, giving up only 25, which is an improvement of plus 83 from the previous season. Our power play finished at 38% and our penalty kill was 89%. We had 190 total penalty minutes which was a decrease by 80 minutes from the previous season and our lowest in the past 4 years.
