2006–2007 Boys Hilltopper Hockey Recap

 

The 2006-07 season had its ups and downs for the OHS Boys Hockey team. Our team consisted of four seniors, ten juniors, five sophomores, and three freshman. As in the past, the first half of our season began with a difficult non-conference schedule. Midway through the season we had a 7-3 record and showed how well we could play. We opened up the second half of our season against the fourth ranked team in the state and played a strong game only to lose 2-1. We finished the second half of the season with a 4-6 record to have a regular season talley of 11 wins and 9 losses.

We went into the playoffs playing as the underdog, and knew if we played well we could advance. We opened the playoffs against Sparta. The team avenged two of our regular season losses with a 3-2 victory and advanced to play #1 seeded Tomah in Sectional Semi Final game. The players gave everything they had in that game, but came up on the short end. Our overall record was 12-10.
